US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Do you enjoy learning about animals and drawing? Then, this is the class for you! In this class, I will teach the students many interesting facts about the seal! Learners will find out fun things about these amazing animals, such as how seals stay warm, how deep they can dive, how big the largest seal is, how much they eat, facts about their babies, and more! I will also lead the students in a simple directed drawing of a seal throughout class to keep them engaged and having fun learning. No art experience is required! I will lead the students step-by-step throughout the class to make their very own seal, while learning about it!
Learning Goals
Students will learn fun and interesting facts about the seal and draw their own seal.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have experience working with children of all ages, teaching, and making lesson plans. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education with an English minor from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL (2015). After graduating, I taught full time in first grade and K4 for two years at Pensacola Christian Academy in Pensacola, Florida, where I taught all subjects. This school has a specialized focus on early reading and phonics, so I have strong experience in those areas. I then taught ESL online for over four years. I have also been homeschooling my preschool-age daughter for the last two years. I love teaching and working with students of all ages, and I am excited to be an Outschool teacher! I am passionate about helping young students excel in reading, phonics, and grammar. I am interested in teaching elementary-age children, especially ages 5-7. I have experience teaching early reading and phonics, as well as grammar. I believe that reading is the gateway to all learning and want to give young students a strong foundation, which will help them in all areas of their lives. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, crocheting, playing the piano, and drinking coffee!
