US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Do you want to take a trip into the rainforest without even leaving your house? Then, this is the camp for you! In this camp, I will teach the students many interesting facts about a different rainforest animal each day for five days! Learners will find out fun things about these amazing animals, such as what one of the most poisonous animals in the world is, how long sloths can hold their breath underwater, the most words a parrot has learned, how many fingers spider monkeys have, how many pounds of pressure a jaguar's bite has, and more! In the first class, we will also learn some interesting facts about the rainforest! I will also lead the students in a simple directed drawing of a different rainforest animal throughout each class to keep them engaged and having fun learning. No art experience is required! I will lead the students step-by-step throughout each class to make their very own rainforest animal, while learning about it! ***Class Schedule*** Monday: Poison Dart Frog Tuesday: Sloth Wednesday: Parrot Thursday: Spider Monkey Friday: Jaguar
Learning Goals

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have experience working with children of all ages, teaching, and making lesson plans. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education with an English minor from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL (2015). After graduating, I taught full time in first grade and K4 for two years at Pensacola Christian Academy in Pensacola, Florida, where I taught all subjects. This school has a specialized focus on early reading and phonics, so I have strong experience in those areas. I then taught ESL online for over four years. I have also been homeschooling my preschool-age daughter for the last two years. I love teaching and working with students of all ages, and I am excited to be an Outschool teacher! I am passionate about helping young students excel in reading, phonics, and grammar. I am interested in teaching elementary-age children, especially ages 5-7. I have experience teaching early reading and phonics, as well as grammar. I believe that reading is the gateway to all learning and want to give young students a strong foundation, which will help them in all areas of their lives. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, crocheting, playing the piano, and drinking coffee!
