Amazing Animals

During these lessons your child will be encouraged to learn and talk about some popular wild animals. These lessons would benefit young children or children learning English as an additional language.

Class Experience

Welcome to my Amazing Animals class.

During this lesson we will focus on conversations all about different animals. We will concentrate on pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar.
I will use open ended questions to encourage the learners to talk in sentences.
We will look at videos and pictures of animals. We will learn the differences between wild animals, pets and domestic animals.
During each lesson we will sing our signature introduction song and goodbye song. I always use props, games and puppets to engage with my learners. I also always encourage show and tell time with my learners too.

I use childrens songs from The Singing Walrus. I do not use this from You Tube. I approached the company directly and I have bought the songs from them. They are happy for me to use them for my classes. The songs are a great introduction for the children to sing along to and help them to remember words for those students who are studying English as a second language.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello
My name is Teacher Rachael. I am a qualified Nursery Teacher with over 30 years experience of teaching children in nurseries and Pre- schools all around the world.
I currently teach English as a second language and I am a home school mum of two child who are now 11 years and 14 years old.
I am very passionate about how children learn through play and through their imagination.
I am looking forward to hosting circle times to make learning fun. We will learn about letters, numbers, shapes, nursery rhymes and we will sing songs and listen to stories together.
Throughout the year my circle times will be topic based so we will also learn about the Seasons, the weather, different festivities, animals, people who help us, mini beasts to name just a few.
I encourage my students to bring along their items to our show and tell times to enhance their learning.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you in my classroom very soon.
