Did you know the female peacock has a special feathered crest that can sense vibrations from the rattle of the male's tail? Peacocks aren't usually on our bird-watching list, but this beautiful, charismatic, and interesting bird wins hearts all over the world. In this short, one-time class we'll learn fun and amazing facts about peacocks. We will look at 3 different bird species from Africa, Asia, and India. We will also look at the special white peacock! The format of the class is casual with a multimedia presentation. All students that want to learn more about peacocks are welcome.

Dear Parents,
I am excited to guide your students in exploring the wonders of animals and nature! I hold a Master’s in Science with a focus on Wildlife Biology (2019) and have taught Ornithology for six years. My passion for wildlife conservation, education, and birding drives me to spark curiosity and a deeper connection with the natural world.
In my classes, students engage with scientific methods and research, learning to observe, investigate, and think critically. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for nature and empower young learners to see the world through
a scientific lens.
