We will learn to master the concepts of Algebra 1! My class is structured as a flex class. “Flex” classes are a unique alternative to live meetings. I will provide asynchronous learning opportunities consisting of recorded video sessions, classroom discussions and assignments, and additional learning tools to encourage interaction and provide feedback. (Asynchronous learning allows you to learn on your own schedule, within a certain timeframe. You can access complete lectures, readings, homework and other learning materials at any time during a four-week period.) I will provide pre-recorded PowerPoint lessons once weekly on Thursday by 12 am Central Standard Time, announcements for upcoming classes and their subjects, assignments and deadlines for when they will need to be turned in, and additional learning materials or links to approved third-party tools. I will provide timely encouragement, guidance, and feedback to learners. My 'office hours' are 6 pm to 9 pm CST. My teaching style is laid back and fun! No prior experience or knowledge is required.
