This class is for students who are proficient in single-digit long division and are ready to learn how to check their answers for accuracy.  This class is for learning how to check your division answer by multiplication and addition.  In this one time class, students will learn how to check their single-digit long division answers for accuracy.  The teacher will demonstrate how to check the answer to a single-digit long division answer for accuracy.  Students will work on single-digit long division problems and then work with the teacher to check their answers for accuracy.  Students will also practice independently.  Students should be proficient in long division, long multiplication, and addition.  Students proficient in these skills could do well in this class.

Learning Goals

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Outschool!  
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you!  I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too.  I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online.  When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person.  My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups.  I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License.  I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also.  My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways.  I love to have fun while learning!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
