Class Experience

In this course, we will read through the entire AlphaPets book series and do some alphabet coloring, scavenger hunts and games related to the stories.

Each day you will receive a video with an interactive and enthusiastic read aloud of the story. Students are encouraged to act out some of the scenes while they listen just like I do in the reading. You will also receive a printable letter to go along with the story that you can color and decorate.

Throughout the week, we will share our favorite stories with one another through video and do photo scavenger hunts for the letter of the day with items around the house. Students can share photos of their coloring pages and scavenger hunt items related to the letter of the day as a fun way to interact with me in the classroom. In addition, I will introduce students to some fun and free alphabet games on abcya.com that they can play.

You do not need to have the AlphaPet series as I will share them in class. These books are being used with permission. I am super excited to read these adorable stories with you! Please let me know if you have any questions.

I have been teaching on Outschool since 2020 and have taught over 6,000 learners.

**I received the Outschool Best in Class Award**

I have homeschooled my own children who are 9, 11, and 13 years old now since the beginning. And I planned to do that long before they were born!

Between everyone, there's Autism Spectrum, giftedness, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, PDA, etc to name a few differences that make my family twice exceptional. I have extensive experience working with different learning styles and have taught students from many different backgrounds.

I use a multi-sensory, engaging, interactive, and playful approach in my classes. I am high energy and make sure each student is met right where they are and that they feel included.

Personally, and at this point in my life, my ADHD is my superpower, but it wasn't always easy for me growing up in traditional school. Let me help you make it easy for your student and yourself!

I earned a BA from Kenyon College, and have started several small businesses, including designing and selling Aloha Feet, The Fidget for Your Feet. I have also won Jigsaw Puzzle competitions.

My most wonderful accomplishment though is hearing from my students that my classes are so much fun and hearing from their adults that their students are finally seen and thriving!

In my free time, I love creating new classes! Plus I enjoy watching Korean dramas and playing BananaGrams.

I am excited to spend time with your Outschooler!

Watch for me and my son in a recent Good Morning America episode featuring our part in an awesome autism awareness transit project!
