The goal is to have your child recognize the 5 to 6 letters that are introduced. Your child will have a song that will help them not only remember the name of the letter but the phonetic sound of the letter. By learning the phonemes of the alphabet, your child will being to recognize and begin to sound out words. They will also be introduced to writing each letter.
I am a professional educator with 5+ years in the classroom. I have also been teaching children reading and language acquisition, online, for the last 4 years. My education background is a B.S. in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in Language Acquisition. I also have a Masters in Educational Psychology and Child Development.
Homework Offered
I would like the parents to read picture books to their child at night during bedtime. As the parent reads to their child, I would like them to point to each word as they read. This will help the child with sight words and recognize the phonemes we are covering. I am also include a PDF for writing. You can have your child outline the letter with a marker or crayon.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

I will be assessing your child during the class. I will keep parents up-to-date on the progress of their child, with suggestions on helping the child outside of class.Grades Offered

I encourage parents to sit off camera to encourage their child to participate. Children will be muted if there is background noise is interfering with the class. It is important that the parent unmute the student during the class as needed. I will not use a third party application in this class.
