US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Students will be introduced to letter sounds and proper letter formation of both uppercase (capital) and lowercase letters with interactive activities during this self-paced class. Each week videos and activities for 3 letters of the alphabet will be posted in the classroom. The course load for each week is approximately 1 hour, but it is designed for you to divide it up into 3 20-25 minute sessions throughout the week. Students will also improve fine motor skills by participating in a STEM (STEAM) activity for each featured letter. A list of needed STEM supplies and the featured letters will be posted in the classroom at the start of each week along with any handouts for the lessons. The handouts will serve a dual purpose in practicing proper letter formation in a unique way and as a resource for the STEM activity. An optional handout will be provided for each letter for additional practice. Tips and activities for fine motor skill development will also be shared.
