- Students will be able to identify pictures that correspond with letter sounds.
- Students will be able to trace and properly form upper and lowercase letters using a variety of methods.
- Students will be able to improve fine motor skills by completing STEM challenges.
I have been a NY state certified elementary teacher for over 20 years including holding certification in Students with Disabilities.
A list of needed STEM supplies and the featured letters will be posted in the classroom at the start of each week along with any handouts for the lessons.

Although not needed for every week, some STEM supplies needed throughout the flex class include:

- Glue
- Scissors
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Construction paper
- Cotton balls
- Toothpicks
- Yarn
- Pipe cleaners (chenille stems)
- Tissue paper
- Aluminum foil
- Mini marshmallows
- Container of coins
- Building blocks (can be Legos)
- Uncooked spaghetti and macaroni
- Cereal such as Apple Jacks, Fruit Loops, and Cheerios
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Young children may need help and guidance when using scissors or assembling some of the projects depending on the activity. Some activities involve following directions for a recipe, so they may need assistance with the measuring, pouring, and mixing of ingredients.
