This class is recorded, called Flex-class. Class content will be available every Monday by noon (CST). Student will learn each letter shape, the vocabulary for each letter, how each letter sounds, and the written form of the letter in English. Teacher Jodi will introduce the letter and demonstrate mouth movements and tongue placement on video so the student can practice at home. Student will hear English vocabulary while studying the alphabet in English language. Student will be encouraged to practice letter sounds and memorize letter shapes. The student will be encouraged to practice writing letters to reinforce the learning. I encourage the student to send videos and writing samples to the teacher for the purpose of feedback. The teacher will respond with reinforcement and correction as needed. This class is being offered as a recorded class to allow ESL students to study at a time when western teachers may not be available. I will speak slowly and clearly in the videos so the student can imitate the teacher's words and sounds. The student can reinforce their learning with a tailored alphabet worksheet. This class is an excellent starting point for the beginner. This class will also benefit English-speaking students needing more work on phonics. The learner is not required to have any prior knowledge, only a desire to learn. This 10-week course is divided into different phases (See calendar for scheduled letters). Each class includes singing of the alphabet song, an introduction of letter and vocabulary association, demonstration both visual and audio of letter sounds, demonstration of the letter formation, finishing with a song or poem to help remember the letter. There may be multiple sessions running so refer to the # of weeks you are into your session, (what letter was last week?, Next up....)
