In this one-time class, students will be introduced to the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make. We will start class by singing the ABC song, and then I will show a fun interactive PowerPoint presentation for each letter. Students will be introduced to each letter and their upper and lower case letterforms. They will then learn the sounds the letters make and do a letter drill to help memorize those sounds. Finally, they will learn some words that start with that particular letter on each slide of the PowerPoint. We will end class with a worksheet and mystery alphabet game. This is a great class for those who are learning their alphabet. Students are not required to have any previous letter knowledge. Here is a breakdown of what to expect in this class: 1. Greeting 2. Introduce our topic for this class. 3. Sing ABC song 4. Interactive alphabet PowerPoint presentation 5. Worksheet 6. Mystery alphabet game 7. Closing/Good-bye I can't wait to see you in class!
Learning Goals
Students will be introduced to all 26 letters including the upper and lowercase forms. They will also learn the sound of each letter and words with those beginning sounds.

- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education- I’m a certified (K-8th grade) Elementary teacher.
- Kindergarten teacher- I’m a full time certified kindergarten teacher I also was a previous Pre-K teacher for many years before moving to kindergarten.
- Online ESL ( English as a Second Language) teacher - I have been an online teacher for five years, tutoring students ages 3- 12 years old. I have taught phonics, reading comprehension, spelling, writing, and basic math with this online program.
- Tutoring- I have been tutoring elementary-aged (ages 5-10) student's literacy, phonics, and phonemic awareness for the past eight years. I have taught letter identification, letter sound, CVC words, word families, blends, rhyming words, syllables, sight words, spelling, writing, and reading comprehension. I create my own lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Children's Pastor- I am a children's pastor for ages birth through 5th grade. I create lesson plans and manage/ organize volunteers to help in our children's ministry.
-I am married and a mom of two children.
