Alphabet Art Preschool Class

Did you know that studies have show when children make a letter into a picture they will remember it better? Every week we will learn a new letter and make it into an art project where we will color, cut, and glue our picture together.

Description

Class Experience

Your child will be learning the alphabet as we introduce it, practice it, sing about it, and make it. They will be learning fine motor skills as they cut, color, and glue. They will be learning social skills as we talk and interact during the art-making.
I have a duel degree in early childhood and elementary education. I have taught in public, private, at-home, and online schools. I have attended many workshops and done hours studied in early childhood intervention for success in reading. Embedded mnemonic letters (which is what we are making) is one way that children learns letter and sounds more proficiently.
The only homework would be to finish your art project if you did not get it done during class.
Printer to print out the picture. Construction or Colored Paper to glue the picture onto. Scissor Glue Crayons
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The assessment is informal and will be done in class by listening to your child say the letter name and sound.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be coloring, cutting, and gluing. If your child needs help with any of these skills they will need your assistants during class.
