The first few minutes of class will consist of introductions of everyone in our classroom, continuing with identifying what letter our first names start with. Next, we will sing an alphabet song with emphasis on the letter of the day. Once we are all engaged and ready for detailed learning, we will identify a few letters from previous classes (or ones we will learn next class if we just started). Using flashcards and our memory, we will each be able to identify letters on our own, or with...
Students will improve their understanding of the letters in the alphabet, the sounds they make, words that begin with that letter, and how to make the shape of the letter.
