Description
Class Experience
Students will practice writing thoughts into whole sentences, and move beyond simple subject, verb, object into using describing words. Learners will also practice determining and categorizing various parts of speech.
As a linguist by training, I love nothing more than playing with my words. Come play with me!
Learners may finish drawing and/or coloring after class.
Something to write/draw/color with (type on) (optional) Something to write on (type on) (optional) Some dice (optional) Imagination and sense of humor!
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
It is helpful if learners are already able to write (or type), and bring their imaginations and sense of humor. The setting for the story will be a haunted house, and learners will be encouraged to suggest nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs appropriate for the setting.
A thesaurus (online or print) might be helpful.
