55 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one-time class students will learn how to make chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream from scratch. The recipe I am using is egg free. Dairy-free and gluten-free alternatives are provided, along with suggested products. All ingredients should be pantry staples, and easy to find at a local grocery. I try to keep everything as simple as possible. I will guide students through the entire process, with a slideshow and live help. I will cover how to read a recipe and measure ingredients. Recipes are included for future use. This class is focused on flavor, not decorating. So no decorating skills or equipment is necessary.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have two sons with food allergies, and friends with food allergies. I also have friends that follow a vegan lifestyle. I needed a dessert we could all safely enjoy. I started looking at cupcake recipes, but many included difficult to find ingredients. So I started making my own recipes.
