In this class, we will dig into the content and instructional practices to prepare our budding scientists for the educational journeys. I’m a compassionate and charismatic teacher who loves to teach! I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade students for the last 14 years. In that time, I have been a general education teacher, in the public schools setting for 10 years. Two of those years, I was a reading specialist. I have been teaching online since February 2020. I have been a full-time Outschool teacher since June 2020. I’m certified to teach Elementary education from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I absolutely love teaching early childhood classes. As a mother of a 4 and 7 year old, we do a lot a hands on science and learning together at home. I am so excited to extend into your scientist's learning journey! I have taught these lessons in the public school setting, Outschool, and with my own children at home. Now, I’m looking forward to sharing this fun class with your wonderful, little scientist!

Materials for our Bird Kite July 22-26: -2 pieces of paper (colored or printer paper) -stapler -string -a hole punch or a pencil to poke a hole -crayons or colored paper to decorate Materials for our snake July 29- August 2: -our snake printout (attached in classroom) -coloring tools -a paper clip -a string or tape -scissors -a magnet
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Please be aware that we will be using scissors to construct class handouts and parents should supervise and support their scientist during class for safety purposes.
