This class is taught in English.
Students will learn vocabulary words such as foal, colt, and filly. Students will learn about the Kentucky Derby and its own vocabulary such as silks, blanket of roses, and Jockey. Students will learn body parts of horses. Students will learn the difference between farm horses, race horses, & the different breeds of horses.
I own 2 horses which I ride for pleasure for over 4 years now.
Optional homework may be posted in the classroom.

Assessments will be periodically given to assess what the students have learned. This will be done informally via discussions, games such as jeopardy, quizes (not graded), etc.
