No prior experience needed, however, a piano or a keyboard is required for this class.This course will cover a fun piano introduction, which includes music reading and performance. Lesson material is accessed online and may be downloaded or printed. This particular section is for the beginner level. However, I do offer intermediate, and advanced levels in other sections.. Students will learn how to play the piano or keyboard while learning how to read music patterns, notation, and symbols. Students will learn both familiar and new songs. Students will learn how to practice in order to be successful in their lessons.
20 to 30 minutes a day of practice is the best way to learn the piano. Learners may take 1 or 2 days off a week, as long as they get in at least 5 good days of practice.
All lesson materials will be uploaded in a PDF format that may be downloaded or printed out. If learners are not able to print out materials, all music is displayed on screen during the lessons. I do use a practice app to monitor progress; that is included in the lesson fee.
Learners will be assessed through progress in our weekly class. I can also track progress through a practice app that is included with the lesson fee.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
