Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to connect their breathing with movement in the different areas of their bodies. Students will learn asanas and will be encouraged to choose their own level within each pose so that they can relax into or challenge towards a pose. Students will learn to choose their own level, honour where they are at the moment and be accepting of the level they are at. Students will gain focus, strength and confidence as they work through each pose. Students will learn the safety points where necessary in each pose. Students will be reminded that there is no ego, competition or judgment in this yoga class.  
I am a certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor E-RYT, which means in addition to the 200 hours of teacher training as a Registered Yoga Teacher as of 2013, I have over 1000 hours of yoga practice, post certification. I have been practicing yoga regularly for the past 27 years. I teach an in person weekly yoga class for adults, and have taught children yoga as an elective club when I was a high school teacher. I currently provide support for yoga instruction in my full time job with the municipal government in the department of recreation. 
Students who take this class will practice more mindful breathing during the day and night. They will mind their posture at times as they practice what they've learned in class naturally.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
