Class Experience

Throughout our world, there are hundreds of thousands of animals that we will never see in our lifetime. Lucky for us, the internet exists!

Join me as I teach your child about natures ugliest animals. Well - they may be ugly to you or me… but in the wild, they are perfect! In fact, most of these animals are “built ugly” because it helps them to survive!

This class will be presented through a multimedia presentation that will keep your child on their toes! They will have the opportunity to ask and answer questions throughout the presentation. They will leave learning so much and have a greater appreciation for these not-so-cuddly creatures.

** CLASS INFORMATION **

GOAL OF THIS CLASS:
The goal of this class is to learn about 20+ different animals, specifically speaking about how their "unique" body parts help them to survive in nature.

HOW WILL WE REACH THIS GOAL?:
This course will be presented in multimedia fashion - using pictures, words, and videos. Questions will also be asked to students about each animal in order to engage students. Prior knowledge from students will also be welcome, as, many times, I often learn new facts from students!

WHAT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE IS REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS CLASS?:
- How to mute and unmute on ZOOM

TEACHING STYLE:
As a teacher for the last 13 years, with many more years of experience with children on top of that, I will use my fun personality to engage learners, interacting with them each step of the way.

CLASS POLICIES:
- All late learners will be admitted, however, I am unable to go back and teach them about the animals they missed. For most classes, the presentation begins within five minutes of the start of class in order to finish on time.
- Students are required to be on mute until they are called upon. Students can use the "raise hand" or chat feature. All chat content must be related to the class and must be appropriate.
- Class recordings available upon request. To protect the privacy of all users, all learners in the classroom must be verified before the recording is shared - including those who did not attend. For this reason, I am unable to share every recording.
- All OS policies will be followed. Please make sure to be familiar with all policies prior to class.

Learning Goals

Your child will learn about many different animals, and how their unique features help them to survive.
