Class experience
In this one-time class, preschool and kindergarten aged learners will explore STEAM concepts and explore the sun! Through slideshows, class discussion and a hands on learning activity students will learn all about the sun; from what the sun is, to what sunburns are, and sun protection. Learners will then have the opportunity to do some hands-on learning by creating art with sunscreen and watching the affect the sun has on sunscreen and non-sunscreen. Students will improve their knowledge of STEM concept, as well as explore sun safety.
- Sunscreen - Paint Brush - Black or dark coloured construction paper - Rocks to weigh down the art outside
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parental guidance and assistance may be required during our hands-on learning activities. Due to OS policy parents must remain off camera. I will be using Canva to create the PowerPoint used in class. Learners will not need an account or to even visit the website, as I will be using screenshare to share the material.
