All About St. Patrick's Day: A Virtual Trip to Ireland
Class experience
Welcome to Ireland! I am so glad you have packed your bags and are ready to go on a virtual trip with me. This class weaves together the history of St. Patrick's Day with a trip through modern day Ireland. Class will start with St. Patrick's Day icebreakers, "If you found a pot of gold, what would you spend it on?" or "What is the closest green object to you?" and more. Next, we will begin learning about St. Patrick's Day by playing St. Patrick's Day Fact or Fiction. Thumbs up, Fact. Thumbs...
Students will learn about St. Patrick's Day and a number of famous people, places and artifacts in Ireland.
With a Master's degree in Historical Preservation and a BA in Anthropology, I love teaching about holidays, where they came from and how they have evolved. I have also travelled to Ireland and have great first hand knowledge of many of the sites we will visit.
I will send a few documents home the day prior to class that learners can refer to as they wish. Included among these will be some relic coloring sheets and
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No parental guidance is needed for this class.
