Spring is in the air and it's time to learn more about this beautiful season with this class. We will begin with a language arts activity where students have the opportunity to name the rhyming words. A "Spring" printable is attached that we will use to complete together as a class about what we think of when we think of spring. We will also take a look at some flowers and students will get a chance to name some they may know or even show some they may have as a show and tell opportunity. We will finish up class by creating our own spring flower artwork. Since I have a 6 and 8 yr old (ASK ME ABOUT SIBLING DISCOUNTS!) and my teaching background is Preschool/Kindergarten, I know how important it is to have interactive classes! I have designed all of them to be fun and engaging for young learners. We will listen, share and read together all while having fun! These classes also provide a great opportunity for some social interaction with age-appropriate peers.

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa and I reside in the Lone Star State also known as Texas. I am a graduate of Baylor University and received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. I also received my Master of Education degree from The University of Texas. I love working with Preschool and Elementary aged students that are at all ability levels! Special Education still holds a dear place in my heart and was my focus during college and graduate school. I am currently a stay at home mom of two young sons but before that, I worked for 13 years in a public elementary school. I taught PPCD (Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities) for 3 years and Kindergarten for 10 years until I had my first son. Currently, I am an online ESL teacher and have been with the company since the summer of 2019. I enjoy helping teach students English! I am TEFL certified as well.
My passion for teaching came from having a younger brother with special needs. I loved working with him to help make his life as best as our family could. He is the reason I chose the major I did. Along my journey to becoming a teacher, I realized how much I enjoyed working with young children and helping them learn as much as they can to succeed. When I am not teaching students online or my boys at home, I enjoy traveling, reading, dancing and being active with my family. I am so honored to be an Outschool Teacher and appreciative of this opportunity. I welcome you to follow my profile for upcoming classes and please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions or comments. I am truly looking forward to teaching your child(ren) and am excited to share my love of learning with each student! In my classroom, every student is a STAR!
