The student should practice spelling their lesson words every day in between classes to master the words most effectively.Class Experience
US Grade 1 - 11
In this class, students will work at their pace to learn to spell using phonics-based instruction. This class will utilize many Orton-Gillingham techniques while using the All About Spelling curriculum. Students will be required to purchase the student packet, letter tiles app from the All About Learning website or other retailers to participate in this tutoring. In class, students will begin by reviewing the topics they have covered in previous classes. Students will then begin to learn new material and practice it using the letter tiles, a fun game and some dictation. When the student has mastered the lesson, they will move onto the next lesson in their All About Spelling curriculum. Please note that students will move at their own pace through this curriculum. Many students need several classes to complete one "lesson" in the All About Spelling curriculum. A sample lesson plan may look like this: Week of 6/15- lesson 1 Week of 6/22- lesson 2 Week of 6/28- lesson 3 Permission has been granted by All About Learning to use this curriculum for Outschool. Permission is granted with the understanding that the student needs to purchase all student materials and no copyrighted materials can be uploaded in digital form.

The student will increase their ability to spell by learning to spell in a systematic, phonics based way.

Parental Guidance
Per my agreement with teaching this curriculum online, All About Learning Inc requires parents to purchase the student packet to continue to assist the students in between classes.
The student will use the All About Learning app or tiles. The student will never go online or to the internet All About Learning site.
Supply List
This is a multisensory approach to spelling that will require some preparation before class. This will include being in contact with me to schedule what activity we will complete that week. Items needed on hand will include: -shaving cream -play doh -whiteboard -dry erase markers -paper -pencil -markers -rice -sand We will determine together what items will be used for each class depending on the students needs for each class. This will require us to be in good communication through the "Conversations" tab in Outschool.
