In this 8 week class students will use multisensory strategies, based on Orton-Gillingham methods, to learn spelling strategies, add three more phonograms, spell numbers to one hundred, and spell the days of the week.

Class experience

US Grade 3 - 5
I have been teaching All About Spelling for four years to students ages 5 to 12 including students with dyslexia and dysgraphia.
Homework Offered
Assessments Offered
Phonogram cards, sound cards, key cards, and word cards will be reviewed weekly to determine mastery. Mastery will be evaluated when students write words, phrases, and sentences with the phonograms that have been taught.
Grades Offered
Students with dyslexia and dysgraphia will benefit from the Orton-Gillingham approach to spelling.
Students should have completed levels 1-3 of All About Spelling and the first half of level four.
Students must purchase the All About Spelling Interactive Kit ($22.85) which includes the letter tiles used to build words OR the letter tiles app. The letter tiles app can only be used if the student has two devices, one to take the class and one to use the tiles app.
https://www.allaboutlearningpress.com/basic-spelling-interactive-kit/ (Only if you have not purchased this previously)

If your student is using the plastic letter tiles, a magnetic white board is also needed. The magnetic whiteboard is so that students can easily hold up the words they make for me to see. Students will also need a notebook and marker to write sentences or a dry erase marker to write on their board. If student can type proficiently, they can type their sentences in the chat instead.

Optional: The level 4 student packet ($19.95) which includes the sound cards, phonogram cards, key cards, and word cards will be used for review. I am not affiliated with this website.
If you purchase the cards, your student must have an index card box to store them in. One can be purchased from All About Spelling ($10.95), but it can also be purchased from anywhere you choose.
