Teacher expertise and credentials
My name if Krystal and I live in Germantown, Maryland, USA!! I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education! I also have my Master's in Special Education with concentrations in Early Intervention and Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Finally, I have my graduate certificate in Bilingual Special Education. I’ve been teaching Pre-K to first grade for 12 years! Being culturally sensitive and aware of all students cultures, I can teach all students! With my special education background, I use many ways to engage and to let all students participate, through the use of visuals, props, etc. I love working with children of all ages and I can't wait to meet your child!

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:
I try my best to allow each student to have a turn during all of classes. If your learner does not want a turn, that's ok too, I understand we are all different. At the beginning of each class, I always review my classroom rules. I encourage students to raise their hand for a turn to speak/share out. This give students a lifelong skill of waiting their turn, but also allows for learners to hear others speaking.

During most of the class, learners will be muted to limit background noise that can be distracting to learners and preventing them from learning from class. This is why it is so important for learners to raise their hand.
