Students will understand the reasons that Medieval castles were built and how they were designed for defense.
I have certification in teaching social studies and many years of experience doing so.
There is no homework. Students will be encouraged to build their own Medieval castle for fun after class and send in pictures to show their work, but this will not be required.
If students choose to build a Medieval castle outside of class, they will need materials to do so. This could include legos, cardboard, clay, or any other various materials. This is not required.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will do verbal checks for understanding throughout the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
