In this class, children will build on social/emotional, language, and listening skills while participating in a fun, interactive “All About Me” circle time!

Students will learn how to build social skills, language skills, and listening skills through interactive circle time activities. We will sing songs, make friends, and have a show and tell activity that will allow us to share about our favorite toy! Every child will be recognized and provided with an opportunity to sing and dance along during the songs and finger plays. We will also learn about turn-taking during show and tell time. This is a great class for children who love attention, as well as those who may be shy and need a more relaxed environment in order to speak up more in social settings. The environment will be very welcoming, nonjudgmental, and inviting. I am a very patient, silly, and friendly teacher, who enjoys helping children grow in these critical skills, that will enable them to effectively express their wants and needs, build friendships, and interact appropriately with others.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to listen attentively, take turns, make friends, and express themselves in social situations. These are lifelong skills that will help children to become successful in their day to day lives.

Parental Guidance
Please make sure your child has adequate space to move around, wear closed-toe athletic shoes, have access to drinking water as needed during the dance activity, and an opportunity to stretch his/her body beforehand. Please also make sure there are no objects near your child on the floor (including the show-and-tell toy) or furniture too close by that could cause your child to accidentally bump into something, or trip over and fall. Please be sure to supervise your child while he/she participates in the dance activity. Children at this age are still developing in their spatial awareness skills, so it is critical that a parent supervises while your child may move his/her body around during the activity, in case your child loses his/her balance.
Show-and-tell will occur after we are finished with dancing and/or large motor movement activities. This will enable each child to safely retrieve his/her toy to present it to the group.
Supply List
Students will need to bring their favorite toy with them to share about in class.
