Welcome! My name is Kristin, and I am so excited to meet your learner(s)! I am a certified teacher with a B.S. Ed. in Early Childhood Education and in Special Education. I have many years of both classroom teaching and online teaching experience. Outside of Outschool, I am a business owner and I was a horse riding instructor. My philosophy of teaching is not just imparting knowledge to the learner. Instead, I believe that it more important to inspire learners to love learning, while imparting new knowledge. It is the love of learning that will drive a person to grow, succeed, and inspire others. My classroom is a safe place for all learners of all abilities. I am very experienced in accommodating the needs and preferences of each learner. As a teacher, it is my job to make sure that all students are learning, encouraged, and successful in my classroom. As a teacher, I have taught all classroom subjects, therefore, I have a variety of class options. My focus is on literature, life skills, nature, history, and geography. Beyond teaching, some of my personal passions include horseback riding (English and Western styles), reading, playing guitar, dancing, training dogs, learning new languages, and traveling. What is your learner’s passion? I love to be able to incorporate students' interests into their learning experience. I am always open to hearing your feedback, ideas, and preferences.
