US Grade 3 - 6
During this course, we are going to learn all about different species of lizards, what they eat, where they live, and what unique adaptations they have to survive! The purpose of this class is to discuss how amazing lizards are! There will be four different live lizard ambassadors joining us in this class to help apply what we learn about lizards to a living example of one. There will be room for lots of reptiles-related questions and discussions all throughout the class in addition to video clips and a short presentation about lizards. Learners are not required to have knowledge or experience surrounding this topic before class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the diet, anatomy, habitat, and adaptations of many lizard species. We will focus on tropical, desert, and forest-dwelling lizards. Students are expected to leave the class with a newfound appreciation and love for our reptile friends!
