Class Experience

We will start the class with the introduction of the Pledge of Allegiance. We will then read One Easy Reader about Inauguration Day. This is a nonpolitical book that only talks about the day including when it is held each year, what takes place, and the importance of the day. Afterwards, we will play a fun (age-appropriate) trivia game to see who can answer some basic questions about the Executive branch. Then, students will share their favorite part of the book and/or Inauguration Day and...

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Please note that I understand that this is a very devisive time in our nation. This will solely talk about the facts of what happens on Inaugration Day. If students ask questions regarding current events, I will tell them that I understand that some people have a lot of questions and redirect the child by telling them that sounds like an exciting question for mom or dad! I do not want to push my perceptions or opinions on anyone else.
