In this ongoing class, students will be learning about 4 different horse breeds each week. They will learn what special characteristics each horse breed has, history behind each horse breed, famous horses, and more!

Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
In this ongoing, students will be learning about 4 different horse breeds each week. They will learn what special characteristics each horse breed has, history behind each horse breed, famous horses, and more! This class is on a 4 week rotation for a total of 16 horse breeds. 

Each week, we will focus on 4 horse breeds, various horse related vocabulary will be integrated into the students learning, such as, terms used when discussing measurement, coloring, and more. Each week, in the classroom page, there will be a Quizlet to practice recognizing the horse breeds, a discussion post where learners can chat about their favorite horses, books about horses, and any other horse related information, and some supplemental information about horses!

Below is a breakdown of which horse breeds will be covered each week. 

THURSDAY Sections: 

Jan 25th:
Friesian, Morgan, American Quarter Horse, Appaloosa 

Feb 1st:
Clydesdale, Percheron, Fjord, Arabian 

Feb 8th:
Thoroughbred, Paint, Tennessee Walker, Andalusian

Feb 15th:
Shetland Pony, Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse, Belgian, Hackney

WEDNESDAY Sections: 

Feb 7th:
Friesian, Morgan, American Quarter Horse, Appaloosa 

Feb 14th:
Clydesdale, Percheron, Fjord, Arabian 

Feb 21st:
