US Grade 3 - 6
In this interactive flexible schedule class, students will be learning about 16 different horse breeds. They will learn what special characteristics each horse breed has, history behind each horse breed, famous horses, and more! Each week, we will focus on 4 horse breeds, various horse related vocabulary will be integrated into the students learning, such as, terms used when discussing measurement, coloring, and more. Each week, there will be an interactive instruction video posted, activities for the students to complete, a Quizlet to practice recognizing the horse breeds, multiple discussion posts, and an ongoing discussion post where students are able to share their favorite books about horses! In all of my flexible schedule courses, I make sure to be a very active part of guiding this class and interacting with the students. This is a flexible scheduled course so that the students will be able to complete the lessons at their own pace. There are no due dates except the fact that the class ends on a certain date. The instructional videos created by me will teach the horse breeds each week are interactive and will have pop up questions (using Edpuzzle) throughout to check for understanding. Below is a breakdown of which horse breeds will be covered each week. Week 1: Friesian Morgan American Quarter Horse Appaloosa Week 2: Clydesdale Percheron Fjord Arabian Week 3: Thoroughbred Paint Tennessee Walker Andalusian Week 4: Shetland Pony Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse Belgian Hackney If you have any questions or requests then feel free to reach out!
