Class Experience
In this one time class, the students will listen to a non fiction book about Honeybees called It's A Good Thing There Are Bees by Lisa M. Herrington. During the research part of the class, the students will be encouraged to add to the discussion by telling bee facts they learned from the book. The students will then create a step by step directed drawing of a Honeybee complete with labels and facts. The students will be able to identify things people use that were made from beeswax. The...
The students will use their listening skills to be able to identify parts of a Honeybee. The students will use comprehension skills to tell why Honeybees are important to people. The students will follow directions to create a Honeybee complete with labels and facts. The students will use their social skills to take turns discussing facts about Honeybees. The students will use their creative art skills to draw a Honeybee. The students will use their writing skills to add words and sentences to their project.
