Does your child love to learn about interesting animals? In this one time class, they will learn all about the Goblin Shark. This is one of the most interesting sharks in the ocean. It is also one many people have never heard of before. I will share with them pictures and facts about this interesting creature. They will also get to see some video footage of its adaptations. Once we are done learning all of the facts and discussing the shark, we will start our craft. This craft is not just a...
Students will learn all about Goblin Sharks. What are their adaptations, interesting facts, where do you find them, and many things of this nature. This is a great science class for those that love to learn about interesting things.
Materials: 2 Large styrofoam cups (one is an extra in case they cut too much) 2 clear 5 ½ oz cups (they are usually in a big pack and come with lids by the solo cups) Toothpicks (10-15) Gray Or pink construction paper (They can use white paper but gray will make it appear more like the shark. Wooden dowel, straw, popsicle stick (anything that will be able to apply a little pressure and be taped to the inside of the cup. 2 big googly eyes (they can also just color them on if they don’t have these) Gray Marker White paper teeth (print or make your own) Liquid glue
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
