US Grade 1 - 4
In this FLEX course students will learn all about different kinds of doctors. This course uses pre-recorded lessons, experiments, and interactive lessons. There are NO LIVE CLASSES. This class is a fun way for students to get introduced to the different body systems and learn interesting ways the human body works. Each week, students will learn about a different type of doctor and the human body system. Students will complete a simple experiment to further understand the human body system we are learning. I will send and instruction video and the supply list out in the classroom. We will then use our new knowledge about the human body to play games. Some of the types of games we will play are: Matching body parts, What's the missing body part?, Human body Puzzle, I have Who has? and more educational games. Students will love using their questioning and problem solving skills to learn about the human body. Students will have a fun worksheet to complete at the end of the week. This class is perfect for students looking to work at their own pace! Each week a Video will be posted on Monday and Wednesday by Teacher Amy as well as a Nearpod or Kahoot code will be posted to play a game. What to expect each week: *Class Greeting Videos: We will have a fun way to say hello each week by adding a video in the Outschool classroom. *Weekly Videos: -Every Monday a new video will be posted on our classroom page discussing the doctor and human body system of the week. -Every Wednesday a new video showing how to complete our human body lab will be posted. *Weekly Classwork: - Human Body System Labeling Worksheet: Students will label a human body system. - Body System Lab: Students will complete a fun lab to help the further their understanding of the body system. - Human body game Nearpod or Kahoot *Class Weekly Goodbye Videos: Students will record a video sharing an interesting fact they learned about the weekly body system and if they would like to be this doctor. I will always choose safe drawings or images for young learners. I will not be using graphic images that contain blood or unsafe content.
