🦕🦖🦕The students will listen to a fiction and non fiction dinosaur book during the "research" part of the class. Together we will brainstorm dinosaur facts. During the directed drawing portion of the class, the students will draw and color a dinosaur together. They will share the drawings with their classmates, if they feel comfortable doing so. The students will then write some dinosaur facts or labels. Their finished ALL ABOUT DINOSAUR research project can be displayed for everyone to admire!
Learning Goals
-Students will use listening skills by focusing on dinosaur facts.
-Students will use research skills to gather information about dinosaurs.
-Students will use creative skills by drawing and coloring a dinosaur.
-Students will use writing skills to add labels to the dinosaur, if they feel comfortable doing so.
-Students will us social skills to interact with other learners.Other Details

The student will need paper and crayons or colored pencils.

Hi! Welcome to my Outschool classroom.
My name is Betty Nilssen. 💕
I have a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from UW-Milwaukee. I am a first grade teacher, but I have also taught second, third and fourth grade, full inclusive classrooms. My teaching license certifies me to teach grades 1~6. My passion for teaching reading while incorporating phonics, phonemic awareness, rhyming, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, science, social studies, math, drawing and writing helps children strengthen their academic skills while they gain academic confidence and a love of learning. Teaching reading is my super power. I can support your young learner.
I have three adult daughters and two of them are teachers. My mom was also an educator.
There are so many books to read, words and sentences to write, math equations to solve and fiction and non fiction pictures to draw and label. Let's get started!
