All About DÍa De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead)- Is It Like Halloween?

In this one time course students will learn all about the Día de los Muertos celebration in Mexico, how it is similar and different than Halloween and even some new Spanish words!

Class Experience

In this one time class students will learn all about Día de los Muertos! I will teach the class using a google slides presentation, video clips from YouTube, and a song. I will also include a sugar skull printable, a word search and crossword puzzle with Spanish terms related to Día de los Muertos, a set of printable flash cards and a recipe for a special bread that is made only during Día de los Muertos. We will talk about why Día de los Muertos is not like Halloween, when it is celebrated, how it is celebrated and how it has changed over history. I will teach this class from a historical and secular viewpoint, I hope you decide to join me in class and learn a little more about Día de los Muertos! 
*This class must have 5 students enrolled 24 hours prior to start time to continue. If the class does not meet the enrollment requirement it will unfortunately be canceled and all students will receive a complete refund. Thank you for understanding.

Parental Guidance
Día de los Muertos is a religious holiday that involves celebrating family and friends that have passed on. This class will talk about death and spirits of people who have passed. Día de los Muertos is a spiritual holiday celebrated mainly in Mexico. A large part of the celebration deals with the spirits of loved ones who have passed returning to Earth for these 3 days. I will discuss this holiday/tradition from a historical and secular viewpoint.
