All About Chickens : Free Range
This is a one time session where we will talk about chickens, specifically allowing your chickens to free range and how to maintain a healthy flock.

This class is going to be about chickens with a focus on raising your flock as free range birds. We will talk about flock dynamics, potential predators and Learners will be able to participate in this class with or without having babies, however a learner will be able to walk away with the general knowledge and care needed to raise chickens. During the class time learners will be able to meet different members of our flock and we will talk about the roles that the different chickens have. The discussion will be focused on free ranging chickens and their care but other chicken related topics may be covered to answer questions as they come up. All About Chickens will be a series that I offer with each class being a different topic on chickens, it is NOT required to take the other class offerings in the series.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to understand basic information around preditors and be able to have general knowledge about taking care of a flock in a free range setting.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
We will be talking about basic predators to free range chickens. There will not be graphic photos but conversations around death and signs of how different predators attack chickens will be discussed.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile. My name is Miss Kelley and I love to teach about nature and the outdoors. Some of my favorite topics are about CHICKENS and SEA TURTLES! I will be offering classes that teach about chickens and how to care for chickens, as well as classes about Sea Turtles. Talking about the different species of sea turtles, their nest habitats and life cycles. Some classes might talk about how to raise your own meal worms (a favorite treat for chickens) or about how to reduce waste and recycle more (a growing issue for sea turtles and other animals).
I am a working professional and have a passion around numbers and data as well. I offer classes from basic word processing to advanced excel as well.
I am a mom to two teens, who we adopted 5 years ago and as we are exploring the outdoors and discovering new topics I will add to my class list. Some classes will be offered seasonally as the topics are better suited for specific times of the year. Reviews
