Have you ever wondered how cats purr or retract their claws? This will be a fun feline anatomy class! We will cover basic anatomy concepts specializing on what cats do best. In addition to covering basic concepts in mammalian anatomy, we will cover: the purr, tail and ear movement, how cats see the world, whiskers, cat tongues, cat hearing, how a calico cats get its spots, balancing, and how cats use their claws. Be prepared to become cat experts! We will use discussion, google slides, videos, and question and answer sessions. In the last class, each student will present their own favorite cat anatomy topic. My classes are small and so students are encouraged to ask questions and give answers during the lecture and discussions. No experience is required, just a love of all things cat!
