Butterflies are beautiful and fascinating creatures. In this class, we will learn all about butterflies. We will talk about how the evolve from an egg to butterfly. Students will learn what butterflies eat and how some species migrate. During our discussion, we will look at pictures and diagram of butterflies. We will also watch videos. As a teacher and mom to five young children, I like to curate a child's curiosity about the world around them. My children and I love to visit a local butterfly sanctuary where we have learned all about these fascinating creatures and I can't wait to share what we have learned with you.
To create their butterflies students will need the following: - coffee filters (at least two) - washable markers - a pipe cleaner
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
