US Grade 5 - 8
We will learn about blood and the smaller cells that make it up. We will study red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. In class, we will learn what the the blood cells look like under a microscope and each of their functions. This class is a great extension of my class about the human heart. However, students do not need prior knowledge to take this class. I teach in an interactive way and involve students in class by asking questions. I will be using google slides, short videos, and discussion to teach about blood cells. My goal is for students to have fun learning and to inspire them to want to continue learning more on this topic in the future.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the 3 types of blood cells: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and their functions in the body.
