Class Experience

Students will learn what multiplication is as well as will learn how to solve multiplication fact problems through 12.  They will be introduced to and practice making arrays to aid them in solving multiplication fact problems.  They will watch the teacher solve problems, solve problems with the teacher, and then work on problems on their own.  Having a strong understanding of addition will help them to be successful in making arrays and solving multiplication fact problems through 12. ...

Students will be introduced to and practice beginning multiplication.

Students should continue to practice beginning multiplication.

Paper, pencil, and eraser

Students will self-assess how they understand beginning multiplication.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
