Class Experience

Ants are interesting!   

🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜In this one time class, students will listen to a non fiction ant book read with fluency during the "research" part of the class.  During the directed drawing portion of the class, the students will draw and color an ant life cycle and retell the life stages of an ant.  They will share the ant life cycles with their classmates, if they feel comfortable doing so.  The students will then label the four life cycle stages of an ant. Their finished ALL ABOUT...

-Students will use listening skills by focusing on ant facts.
-Students will use research skills to gather information about ants.
-Students will use creative skills by drawing and coloring an ant life cycle.
-Students will use writing skills to create labels and sentences naming the stages of a ant's life.

The students will need white paper, a pencil, and crayons or markers.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
