This is not mandatory, but if you want to research more about the animal we talked about after class, you are more than welcome to and then you can post your findings in the classroom!Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 6
Do you love learning about animals? Do you love making new friends? Then this social club is for you! Each week we will learn about a new animal, have some fun getting to know each other and have a little friendly competition. Each class will start with a little ice breaker activity and then each learner can share about their week. From there we will go right into playing Kahoot/Blooket and see how much you know about the animal of the day. I will not tell you what the animal is as that will be the icebreaker activity where learners have pictures of animals to choose from and they pick the animal they think it is. Each time a few animals will disappear until the animal of the day is left standing. I will read each question to you and then the possible answers so if reading is not your strong suit that is ok, you will still be able to play. The winner will get to pick the next animal to play kahoot. There will be a possibility to play at least 2 games maybe 3 and the winner will get to pick the animal for the next game. This class will require you to have either another tap open on your computer or a different device altogether like a tablet or phone. you do not need to have the Kahoot app but if you have it already that is great. All you need is the following link: kahoot.it The other game that we may end up playing is Blooket. This is the site for that: blooket.com/play. This is a very fun game and is the most popular choice of game. I love learning about animals and have done research to help kids that I have been working with. I find it quite interesting when I learn something new about an animal that I didn't know before. Come and join me in this fun and relaxed class as we learn together and make new friends. I look forward to seeing you soon!
