Students will begin by being introduced and sharing something that they know about airplanes. Have you ever been on an airplane? Where did you go? Next, the teacher will read the story "The Airplane Alphabet Book." As the teacher reads, the students will discuss the different airplanes in the book. Where have you seen them? Which airplane do you like the best? What new airplane did you learn about? After the story and discussion, students will color an airplane (provided in classroom...
Students will review the letters of the alphabet while learning all about airplanes that match those letters. They will also learn interesting facts about airplanes.
I have over 13 years of experience teaching young learners. The alphabet is the foundation for reading. I love reading and I enjoy watching students become inspired by books.
