In this A-Z one-time class, students will have some alphabet fun as they hop aboard “The Alphabet Train” singing the ABC song, work on letter recognition by completing an alphabet puzzle, playing a letter matching game with food, and creating their very own letter name alphabet train as they continue to chug along for some more alphabet fun on their next alphabet adventure! All Aboard and Choo, Choo, Choo! Here’s the Course Overview: 1. Introductions/Greetings 2. Warm Up Song-The ABC song 3. Read the “Alphabet Train” book and complete a Alphabet Letter Puzzle (A-Z) 4. Play Letter Matching Game with food objects 5. Create your own letter name train craft 6. Goodbye
Learning Goals
Students will be supported in a positive, interactive, and encouraging classroom environment geared towards improving their alphabet knowledge/awareness, letter recognition, and letter matching skills.

Hello and Welcome! I'm Prudence Nicol. I am so thrilled to be teaching on the Outschool platform. I look forward to offer engaging classes in reading, story time, math/counting/numbers, letters, colors, shapes, animals, nutrition, life skills, building self-confidence, mentoring, and private tutoring.
My educational background has provided me with the knowledge, skills, and age-appropriate techniques needed to help children of all ages SHINE BRIGHT throughout their entire learning process.
I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor's Degree in Child & Adolescent Development, and a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Leadership. For over 18 years, I've had the great pleasure of teaching children in various settings from being an online ESL teacher (3-18 years old), Parent Educator (0-3 years old), Child Development Teacher (0-5 years old), private tutor (5-13 years old), mentor, youth coach/leader, and live-in nanny.
Therefore, my classroom focus will be centered on providing an interactive, meaningful, and positive learning environment that encourages the student to believe in themself, build their self-confidence, and learn new skills. I believe every child has the capacity to learn, achieve, and become a lifelong learner paving their way for continual success.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and dog, hiking, traveling (26 states so far!), searching for interesting peacock items, and volunteering in my community.
