Description
Class Experience
In this class I will teach a topic of organic chemistry. The topic under discussion will be saturated hydrocarbons or alkanes. First thing will be what saturated hydrocarbons or alkanes are? Then how to write the general formula of alkanes and how with the help of that general formula formulae of different alkanes can be written? How different types of formulae can be written. Then general rules for naming alkanes will be taken. Then how with the help of those rules names of straight chain...
1. What are alkanes. 2. What are types of alkanes. 3. what is their general formula and formulas of individual alkanes? Their molecular, condensed and structural structural formulas will be learnt. 4. Rules for nomenclature. 5. Naming of both straight chain and branched chain alkanes.
As it is onetime class so there will be no homework.
Being onetime class there will be no assessment.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
