Learners will become familiar with various UFO and Alien theories.
Learners will become familiar with Area 51, Roswell, and Project Blue Book.
Learners will become familiar with recent events in the UFO/Alien field (recent sightings, disclosure, tech).
Learners will practice sharing their opinions and stories.
Learners will use critical thinking skills to determine their unique position on these topics (The teacher will present the data and will not attempt to sway the to one position or the other.
Learners will make new friends! 

I have enjoyed the topic of aliens for as long as I can remember. I have seen nearly every alien documentary I could find and read every article and text I could get my hands on. I have also spent a great deal of time researching phenomenons such as this. While I have a lot of information to share, I understand that some people believe in UFO's and aliens...and some don't. My goal is to offer a fun-filled class that presents all content in a factual, unbiased way. I want to offer multiple perspectives, data, and reports...so learners can leave each class with opinions of their own. This class will not be sensationalized but rather accurate in its production and presentation. My goal is not to convince anyone that UFO's and aliens are real, my goal is to provide interesting, fun, thought provoking conversations and debates around the various topics. 

I will refer to History Channel documentaries, other various UFO/Alien documentaries, as well as information from a variety of textbooks, articles, and internet sites.  My sources aim to be scholarly and credible--as much as possible--given the nature of this topic. I will also include varying perspectives on each case allowing learners to decide their final thoughts for themselves.
