In each class, learners will use red, blue, and green colored pegs on the Montessori Algebraic Peg Board to create the squares of 2 or 3 digit numbers and gain a foundational understanding of binomials (a + b)² and trinomials (a + b + c)².

Class Experience
Learners will practice: - multiplication facts through 9 X 9 - using the binomial format (a + b) squared = a squared + 2ab + b squared - using the trinomial format (a + b + c) squared = a squared + 2ab + 2ac + b squared + 2bc + c squared - speaking in mathematical terms and expressing themselves using the correct nomenclature - following directions in a multi-step process
I've taught pre-school and elementary school classes with hands-on math throughout my career. I love interacting with learners and making sure that their learning is meaningful!
